Brampton Lit Up for Santa Claus Parade

The Christmas season has officially started in Brampton with the annual Christmas Tree Lighting that took place last night at City Hall. The unseasonably warm weather and lack of snow didn’t hold back plans for the large crowds that gathered. Mayor Jeffrey was on hand to light all of the 13,000 lights on the large spruce tree.

Get out and about this weekend and enjoy the 5th Annual Brampton Downtown Christmas Market in Garden Square. You can get all the details from the Downtown Business Improvement Association.  Hours this weekend are Saturday 12 to 9 pm and Sunday 12 to 4 pm in Garden Square.

The biggest event of the season in the city is the Santa Claus Parade that starts at 5pm today (Saturday Nov 19, 2016) along Main St. You’ll want to get there ahead of time to beat the street closings and get a good spot along the parade route. Full details are available on the Brampton Board of Trade Santa Claus Parade website.

Brampton Focus in partnership with Bramptonist will be broadcasting the Santa Claus Parade LIVE on Facebook and on our website. And keep a look out along the parade route for free Hot Chocolate from Williams Fresh Café to keep you warm.
