As 2017 comes to a close we look forward to an eventful 2018 when a new crop of aspiring community leaders will challenge incumbent politicians at the provincial and municipal levels. Brampton Focus will be covering all of the candidates, the issues and the results throughout the year and asking for your input, feedback and participation as we go.
This past year, we worked with residents and community partners to resurrect the Neighborhood Watch program throughout the city, and published our first newspaper to 25,000 homes. Our live-streamed video of Jagmeet Singh at a federal leadership campaign event went viral with over 85 Million online views worldwide. We also expanded to our Live Town Hall streaming platform so that residents could ask questions in real time to leaders. And we started providing live onsite multi-camera coverage of events.
We are thankful to the guests that took time out to appear on camera and discuss issues and events that impact us all. Most importantly, we are thankful for every supporter and member of Brampton Focus that follows, comments and engages.
2018 promises to be an interesting year in media and we look forward to staying on top of the changes for you. Our volunteer team is passionate about Brampton and we are driven by what the future holds for our city.
