Brampton is in desperate need for entrepreneurs to take hold in the city and start creating an environment for new businesses to flourish. The founders of LAB-B, Harman Grewal and Harpreet Zingh are excellent examples of creators that we need much more of. They’ve been building Brampton’s first co-working space in the city’s core and are part of the organizing team for Startup Weekend Peel.
The team was getting ready for a big evening of presentations when we caught up with them early Sunday morning. The weekend allows anyone interested in starting a business to get together with other like minded individuals and hash out the details of a business over the course of the weekend. Participants are mentored along the way and have the opportunity to receive seed capital to get their ventures off the ground.
