Full STEAM Ahead For Brampton’s University

Mayor Linda Jeffrey and Ontario’s Finance Minister Charles Sousa announced today that Brampton and Milton have been selected for new university-led postsecondary sites. Watch Here.

The unexpected announcement comes as both Brampton and Milton have been preparing competitive proposals with the assumption that only one new site would be awarded. A total of $180 million will be invested with call for proposals to be launched in January. The province is encouraging partnerships with existing universities and business to develop innovative proposals.

The two new sites will focus on science, technology, engineering, arts and math programs, commonly referred to as STEAM.

Brampton Focus is arranging for a full 30 minute show with the Mayor and members of her Blue Ribbon Panel.
